Heaven in 2011

This year is about to close, and I do not want to ignore the last opportunity to thank God for all the blessings happened to me and my family!

January
Our first family trip was in Tagaytay as we had biking and food trip. I can feel that this is already going to be traditional activity for my family.

February
I was able to start this blog with my first post telling that my wallet was lost! Good thing the money left inside was a hundred bucks. I hope that can be a small help for the person who salvaged my wallet.

MTV Production! directed by yours truly.

A valentines date with my SPECIAL SOMEONE... my family. It doesn't matter if I was not able to receive flowers and chocolates from a significant other, because what matters most is their unconditional love that cannot be offered to me by any other men in the world.

March
After the magnificent debut party I had in 2010, I just had a simple birthday celebration, with two of the closest college friends of mine. Good thing I was still able to afford celebrating my birthday despite the school works that needed to be accomplished.

April
DevComm Batch 2012's Baguio Escapade!

Pya is officially an Apple Girl. I was not really a fan of Apple. But I needed to retire my blinking-LCD-Laptop before I start writing my thesis. Since we planned to do a production thesis back then, I assumed that I must have an editor-friendly laptop. Thus, the people around me suggested the MacBook Pro 13". So mom and dad bought it for me (This was perhaps a birthday present for me). Months after, mom insisted me to grab a new phone. But I was not a fan of fancy android phones because I might just misplace it somewhere since I'm always fieldworks in different places. Thus, I decided to use the money to buy an iPad 2 since it will help me more in dealing with thick readings without wasting papers. Apprently, I became an Apple fan by chance.

My practicum started. I indeed really learned a lot in terms of labor issues and politics (since I was placed in a trade union group). Aside from that, I learned how to commute! Visit my OJT BLOG!

It is not really a family tradition to hold a summer outing annually, but I am glad that we were able to enjoy the summer heat together!

May
My ojt-mates and I had a summer outing in a hotel. We had a lot of adventures (from running out of money, saving a kid who was hit by a motorcycle, to helping a car that was stuck in a muddy flood) yet we still had fun!

June
It's my last year to be in school! And I will never let my college years pass without speaking in front of a large crowd of audience. So I was chosen by a professor to talk about my course (Development Communication) to the Mass Comm batches in our school. Good thing I was able to do it well, but the most overwhelming part was when a strict professor of mine complimented me by tapping my shoulders while saying "you did well". Good thing to start the school year!

Still a Dean's Lister! But in a pending status
(due to the practicum grade that wasn't
released yet).

July
THESIS! As I have mentioned in one particular post, we really had conflicts with the framework of our thesis that made us revise everything and start from scratch in the very last moment.

August
Due to the problems with thesis-sh*t,  I really cried a lot each day, that I eventually woke up in the middle of the night because of that problem that never ceased to bother me. Damn those days. I can feel the tense, anxiety and the feeling of "I won't graduate, what should I do then?".

But I have to thank my family for being right at my side in times of trouble. So my mom and dad treated me out!

September
Revising the entire thesis! o.o

October
My first maayos film was produced. I should be thanking my professor for the inspiration ;)

November-December
PASSED the thesis defense! That was the biggest event not just for the month, but for the entire year perhaps. Thesis writing in is no joke in our school but for a 'disaster group' like ours, it was really God's miracle to be able to get a 90 % (A-) in the defense.

Truly, God is the best storyteller/writer in the whole world. He makes our stories good and well-written by making sure that He supplies good and enough conflicts to our lives before transitioning to climax. Hence, we have to be thankful for our problems. It simply means we have a good story. HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MAY GOD BLESS THE YEAR 2012.
