Being one of the batches that tackles development and societal issues, we have come up with a fine-dining theme since we, as researchers were like cooking up recipes towards development. It's a matter of the right amount of skills and passion to voice out the issues that need to be addressed in the society. Moreover, fine-dining is like the irony of the real society we belong to. The elegance and the formality of the ambience mask the true face of reality, just as like the issues presented in our theses that tended to be hidden need attention.
I was asked to do studies of the theme of how the posters should look like. And being in love with vintagey looks, I proposed an old diner ambience for the poster. Unfortunately, the group still sticked with the conventional theme of fine-dining. Thank God I'm in love with Photoshop.

I loooove teasers. I love making other people go crazy about something unrevealed. So I also come up doing layouts for the teasers, indicating: What's cooking, with a short statements regarding your thesis, in line with the fine-dining theme. There are 9 sets of teasers produced, and here is the example, a teaser on our thesis on gay portrayals in films.

We are scheduled to present in the second half of the program, and the feeling of anxiety during the thesis defense is reinforced and even gets worse. It seems we are literally placed in a big oven, waiting for us to be cooked and well-done. Thank God it turned out so well that we are able to respond to all the questions raised on us. Now, I can finally burry my thesis off the ground, together with the tears and the blood I shed during the research process.
