Thread it Up!

I got totally f*cked up when my MacBook Magsafe charger was in comatose. So I rushed to the Power Mac store to acquire a new one.
Ang yabang ko pa, pagkita ko, it costs almost 5000 php. FUUU! Since there were times it was still working, I dealt with it for a month. My MacBook was in a static position so the wire inside won’t get disconnected, or else will cost me a thousand bucks! Unfortunately, the poor charger bid me good riddance when I couldn’t find the perfect position anymore for the wire to charge my laptop.
My mom suggested to bring it to some repair shops nearby to save up money. I inhaled a little hope upon hearing that their technician can do something about it, and all I have to do is to pay 800.00 and wait for a couple of hours to regain the charger’s life. After some killer hours of waiting, I saw my charger wire, ruined and raped. They charged me 100 instead of the original price since they couldn’t do anything about it. To avoid expressing my extreme grievances towards them, I just handed them over the payment and walked away.
So there I was, in the Power Mac, fully decided to buy new one since I had no choice. The Mac people (salesmen) gathered around me, as if I was rushing an unconscious child to an emergency room. They even tried to grab the dead charger and analyze what happened but I interrupted, Kuya bibili na po ako ng chargerHindi ko na ‘to papagawa (obvious namang wala nang pag-asa).
LESSONS LEARNED:
1. Never trust repair shops for Mac gadgets. They can never restore it back 100% so better trust the Mac people.
2. Take good care of chargers. Oh yes. It’s a must. Apple wires are sensitive, they are prone to having ‘folds which can cause damage. FUU Apple!

3. TIP: Put threads on both end of the wire. This can prevent the wire from extreme bending when using. It prevents folds and definitely won’t cause a wire damage. It’s like providing indigenous life support for a fragile and sensitive high profile patient. FUU Apple. This tip came from one of the Mac people whom eventually became my friend (since I got my Macbook and ipad 2 from him). Though it doesn’t look so presentable in the photo, it’s really helpful! I suggest using a cross stitch thread for thicker strands. Yarn is also okay but it eventually loses its strands as time goes by.

That’s all for now! Take good care of your Macs! It’s a great investment! And oh, thanks mom and dad! You’re the best :)
