Cruisin' at Loboc River, Bohol

Basically, the Loboc River Cruise is the most efficient way to tour the wonderful place. You can eat your buffet lunch/dinner while having the picturesque view of the site, while listening to relaxing live music, while inhaling the fresh air, detoxifying your lungs from the polluted air of the city -- All in an hour of boat ride around Loboc River. They offer services four times a day, the first two batches during lunch and the other two at dinner. It is also best to visit the site at night, as relaxing lights around the river adds up the ambience of romance to the nature. This can be a different way to be romantic especially if you are with your loved ones -- an escape from a traditional restaurant fine dining at the city.

There are at least four buffet restaurants to choose from that offers two buffet boat trips for both lunch and dinner. I was not sure about the schedule for dinner, but the boats board at 12nn and 2pm. For about 350 PHP/head, plus an additional 100 PHP for your boat ride ticket, you can actually dine and cruise and witness the breath-taking scenery of the river.

A jaw-dropping scenery
We boarded on a boat that has a viewing deck in front. Great for taking pictures!
In the middle of your trip, you will be serenaded by locals with songs while giving you a warm welcome to their place.
Kids dancing Tinikling, a famous filipino traditional folk dance. They really amazed me. I've never had the chance to perform that dance when I was a kid.
Don't forget to drop some love at their donation box!

However, their food was nothing special. I was expecting they would serve authentic Boholano dishes or fresh seafoods, but the food was very ordinary. They should do something to improve their food, since it's one of the frontliner tourist spots in Bohol after all.

My Spicy Verdict

As I have just have discussed the food, I have to give this spot a bland verdict. It would have been a perfect place with fascinating and scenic views if partnered with sumptuous authentic delicacies that make our tummies happy as well.
